The World Bank funded the development of drainage and wastewater treatment in four wards in Da Lat, Vietnam. The new system provides wastewater collection for 13,495 households, reduces annual flooding and significantly improves the water quality of Da Lat’s urban lakes and main source of water supply.
Since its completion, this important infrastructure project has brought:
- 82.3km of sewer network
- 13,495 household connections
- 7 pumping stations
- Expansion and upgrade of the wastewater treatment plant from 7,400 m³/day to 12,400 m³/day
- Improved water quality for four urban lakes
