The Abidjan Transport Project will rehabilitate 34 kilometers (or 150 lane-km) across four arterial roads in downtown Abidjan. The project uses innovative technologies to improve fluidity, safety and inclusive use of the street landscape.
This multidisciplinary, urban project brings together 18 ministries and agencies, as well as six municipal authorities and community groups. EXP is providing technical support and oversight services during the design and project implementation of MCC’s 5-year Compact.
Innovations across the program include: pavement recycling, roller-compacted concrete, BIM-3D design, intelligent transport system, social inclusive design, new traffic lights synchronization, public transit integration, pedestrian and safety facilities, urban landscaping, lighting and urban furniture. A solid geospatial and GIS framework was set up for live management of social, environmental and technical data.
