Located in Vancouver, Canada’s Central Business District, The Stack is the tallest office tower in Vancouver at a height of 530 ft and 37 stories. The new building is also one of the region’s largest office buildings of 550,00 sq ft.
As a new and modernized office building, it was important the construction, quality and durability were in alignment with the highest standards. Concrete testing and post-tension cable inspection ensured the building’s unconventional design could be achieved.
The tower is comprised of four stacked boxes, with the third box of the stack rotated to sit at an angle and provide a twist on the conventional office tower design.
The concrete testing involved a meticulous examination of the material’s composition, strength and durability to ensure that it meets regulatory standards. The post-tension cable inspections employ advanced technologies to assess the integrity of these critical structural elements.
EXP provided essential reports and recommendations to contribute to the overall safety and longevity of the building.
