Financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this important infrastructure project aimed to extend the national power grid in the Northern provinces of Vietnam with the construction of over 500km of 500kV and 220kV transmission lines and substations. The new power lines connect growing regional centers in Son La, Hoa Binh and Nho Quan and cross agricultural and Indigenous lands.
EXP led due diligence for the project, assessed its impact on the population and prepared the Resettlement Action Plan in compliance with ADB’s Safeguard Policy.
To improve the design and minimize the impact of the project on Indigenous peoples living in the project area, EXP implemented the Resettlement Action Plan and provided the public utility with advice and recommendations.
