Braving the wind and the rain on a cool mid-September weekend, eight teams of six EXP employees from our Quebec offices took part in Make-A-Wish | Rêves d’enfants Canada’s 2022 48-HOUR RIDE. The team raised $43,000 to help children with critical illnesses and make their wishes come true. For 48 hours straight, team members took turns riding their bikes on the Montreal-Mirabel Airport ICAR racetrack, coming together with over 1,600 riders from teams representing businesses and organizations across Quebec. This year, $2,018,426 was raised through the event, making it the foundation’s main event across Canada.
Riding alongside the EXP team for a seventh year was Raphaël Paquette, finance assistant at our Granby office. Living with Friedreich’s Ataxia, Raphaël was our 2016 wish child and was granted his wish through the foundation the same year.
“Raphaël’s motivation and dedication remains as strong as ever, giving back by participating in the event and helping the foundation grant other sick children their wish. He is inspiring and we are honored to ride and share this experience with him,” said Hervé Rémy, participant and coordinator of the “EXP ça roule” teams since 2013.
Thank you to everyone who continues support our EXP riders year after year.
