This year, from March 1 to 31, over 400 of our Quebec employees took part in the annual “Get Moving, EXP” challenge. Participants worked hard to earn as many energy blocks as they could, with each block earned for every 15 consecutive minutes of moderate to high-intensity physical activity. The 82 teams of five rose to the challenge and celebrated their success with a $6,150 donation from EXP to the Breakfast Club of Canada. With this donation, more than 12,300 nutritious breakfasts will be served to children across the country.
EXP chose Breakfast Club of Canada because we believe in their mission to provide children with the nourishment they need to reach their full potential. That mission is aligned with both the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and EXP’s priorities, which include ensuring equal access to healthcare and education through eliminating barriers.
“On behalf of Breakfast Club of Canada, I would like to thank all the EXP teams who participated in this challenge. We’re very happy to count you among the donors who help keep school nutrition programs alive and ensure that children are provided with a nutritious breakfast every day. I often say that it takes a village to make sure children are well taken care of, and your involvement as donors does a world of good,” said Camille Garneau Gaudreault, Advisor, Corporate & Community Giving – Quebec, from Breakfast Club of Canada.
In total, our employees logged 47,175 energy blocks, equivalent to nearly 492 days of physical activity.
Thank you to all the EXP employees who participated in the challenge and to the organizers of the challenge. We’ll see you next year for the fourth edition!
