The Royal 22e Régiment commemorative park development project in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, has won gold in the Urban Design/Civic Design Project category of the 14th edition of the international Grands Prix du Design awards! It is now eligible to be named Grand Prize winner, which will be announced during one of the two gala evenings that will take place this fall.
For this project – designed by WAA – our landscape architecture team, together with our civil, electrical and structural engineering teams, completed the drawings and specifications and monitored the construction work.
Congratulations to everyone who made this public space a place of leisure and reverence, honoring the Canadian military’s efforts on the battlefield since the establishment of the Royal 22e Régiment, on October 14, 1914.
