On Friday, September 27, EXP’s Southern California transportation experts arrived at the Mobility 21 Summit excited for this year’s ‘Beyond the Limits’ theme. As residents of the SoCal area and transportation professionals, assistant project manager, Karen Matthews and vice president, area manager, Los Angeles, Shelly McCarthy understand the significance in delivering long-term transportation solutions to Southern California’s aging infrastructure.
Karen noted, “Each year, Mobility 21 offers a place to join forces with fellow transportation leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities. This year, we brought our team of experts who continue to push transportation solutions in SoCal. As we shift our focus away from the ‘standard’ approaches to meet transportation needs, we look at summits like Mobility 21 to discuss innovative and feasible solutions. With severe climate, aging infrastructure and economic hurdles a reality, our approach demands more resiliency for our region in order to provide SoCal with a prosperous future and that’s what we, at EXP, are doing.”
The 18th Annual Mobility 21 Southern California Transportation Summit is a one-day conference connecting federal, state and local officials with transportation professionals throughout the region. This year, the summit looked at how we prepare for what’s ahead and adapting to complex transportation challenges.
