The 36th running of the Chicago Chase Corporate Challenge was the largest single-night Corporate Challenge ever held in the United States with over 27,000 runners.
Kicking off the Memorial Day weekend, a team of over 40 runners from EXP joined over 1,000 other teams, completing the 3.5 mile course that weaves its way through downtown Chicago.
Each team is scored by combining the top four fastest times for each gender. This year’s top men’s team included Matt Newman, Zach Gardner, Mark Dvorak and William Schaefer. This year’s top women’s team included Sara Wing, Amy Frankowski, Bari Singer and Hilary Urkevich. Both teams finished more than 10 minutes faster than last year marking a huge improvement. That’s the equivalent of each runner finishing 40 seconds per mile faster than last year!
For the fourth consecutive year, the Corporate Challenge served as a benefit and awareness builder for Get IN Chicago which helps to fund and evaluate programs aimed at helping to reduce youth violence in the city through after school activities and community outreach.
Congratulations again to all of team EXP’s participants who came out to represent the company and support such a worthy cause!
