The City of Quebec has selected EXP to conduct a major climate risk analysis for the Greater Quebec City Area. The analysis encompasses Quebec City, L’Ancienne-Lorette and Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. Led by EXP’s energy transition experts and conducted in alignment with the City’s 2021–2025 climate transition and action plan (Plan de transition et d’action climatique 2021–2025), the study will identify the agglomeration’s vulnerabilities to the effects of climate change and team members will develop adaptation strategies to lessen these impacts. The goal of this analysis is to strengthen the area’s resiliency and minimize climate impacts on its population, infrastructure and ecosystems.
EXP will leverage its expertise in risk and vulnerability studies and developing climate change mitigation and adaptation measures to support the City of Quebec’s resilience goals. “Our team analyzes all of the specific data available in order to provide customized solutions that meet each client’s needs. Whether we’re assessing climate risks and vulnerabilities, planning mitigation measures or identifying strategic actions to minimize the negative impacts of climate change on buildings and infrastructure, we’re committed to providing services that protect and enhance the value of our clients’ assets,” says Julie Pellerin, Director, Energy Transition at EXP.
The ongoing project will provide recommendations and effective long-term strategies for the Greater Quebec City area to increase the territory’s resilience.
