Miami International Airport is one of the fastest-growing airports in the United States and keeping up with the pace of technology and customer expectations is essential. To enhance the spaces that customers use without hindering the travel experience, Miami International Airport has invested in a robust modernization plan including the renovation of public bathrooms, an integral component of the passenger experience.
EXP is proud to work with MIA on the Restroom Modernization program, during which EXP will modernize 140 restrooms in a phased approach over the next few years.
“As we make improvements to these heavily trafficked areas, it is critical to disrupt the passenger journey as little as possible. Our team is dedicated to delivering modern, innovative solutions while allowing our client and their customers to continue moving seamlessly through the airport,” said Vice President, Director of Aviation Marcos Souza.
To modernize the restrooms, the new designs will make the space brighter and more open. The design will also implement tactics to make the restrooms more comfortable for travelers, such as larger stalls to accommodate luggage and creating open spaces for queuing.
In addition to EXP’s strong transportation and aviation presence in Florida, our teams have worked on hundreds of restroom modernization projects across a wide array of facilities, including many major airports such as Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport and St. Louis International Airport. We are proud to deliver these projects that improve the passenger journey.
