We are happy to announce that Maxime Belletête, director at our Drummondville office in Quebec, will join the Engineers Canada Board. He will officially start serving as a director at the end of May.
Members of the board of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), the licensing and regulatory body for professional engineers in the province of Quebec, selected Maxime as its representative at the national level.
“To sit on the Engineers Canada Board, you have to be a licensed engineer in good standing with the professional order that governs the engineering profession in your province, and a member of its board. I have been an active member of the OIQ board for the past three years. I also wanted to serve on the Engineers Canada Board so I could, for one, contribute to improving the mobility of engineers, facilitating their work and collaboration on projects outside of Quebec. And so, I voiced my interest to my fellow OIQ board members and was happy to learn that they voted for me,” says Maxime.
The Engineers Canada Board is comprised of directors and one advisor from the Chief Executive Officers’ Group. The Board’s 26 directors are volunteer representatives of engineering regulators from provinces across Canada.
“It’s an honor for me to have been selected by the OIQ to serve on that board, and I’m excited for such an opportunity to trade ideas with dedicated professionals. It will be a very rewarding experience. I’m proud to be a member of that board, both as a Quebec engineer and as an EXP representative,” adds Maxime.
