EXP has been selected by the City of Jurupa Valley as the prime consultant to provide project approval and environmental document (PA&ED) services for the City’s State Route 60 (SR-60) and Rubidoux Boulevard Interchange project.
Constructed in 1962, the SR-60 and Rubidoux Boulevard interchange has experienced increased residential and commercial growth, resulting in increased traffic volume and safety concerns. EXP will work with the City of Jurupa Valley, Caltrans District 8 and key stakeholders to identify innovative solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of the interchange and meet the quickly evolving traffic needs of the surrounding communities.
As the prime consultant, EXP will complete the PA&ED phase, which includes traffic analysis, roadway, drainage and stormwater engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical analysis, environmental compliance and permitting. The team will also analyze two build alternatives, including a newer diverging diamond interchange configuration and ancillary components required to complete the PA&ED phase.
“Our team has extensive experience creating solutions that benefit the client, as well as the communities they serve. We are excited to collaborate on this project that will make the interchange more efficient for everyone who uses it,” said EXP Vice President, Transportation Sector Leader, Southern California Khalil Saba.
With vast experience working alongside Caltrans, and expertise in management, highway and local roadway design, bridge design, ADA compliance and program and project management, EXP is poised to provide solutions that advance the safety and operations of the community.
