In the Rome News-Tribune article, Senior Transportation Project Manager DeWayne Comer details the work EXP is conducting with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to make improvements to the Riverside Parkway in Rome.
In this high traffic area, commuters have trouble turning onto the parkway, with road congestion leading to safety issues and traffic accidents. To remedy this issue, EXP conducted a traffic study and plans to add an additional through-lane so there is one on each side of the parkway.
“With minimal construction and disruption to the area, this project will result in one through-lane on each side of the parkway. This will alleviate congestion and make this area safer and more efficient for commuters,” said DeWayne Comer.
